Orheimstunet, a converted barn from 1847
Orheimstunet is located in the middle of Nordfjord. Stay here and take day trips around Nordfjord and Søre Sunnmøre. The old barn, with foundations from 1847, has been restored and is now a beautiful holiday home with enough room for your extended family. Here, you get the whole house to yourself, with room for 8–10 guests, and everything else you need for a good holiday. In order for you to get the true holiday feeling, we will take care of the cleaning when you check out.
There is a large terrace outside. Here, you can take out the awning, so you can still use the barbecue and dining table even if it rains (after all, we are in Western Norway). There are also our sun loungers, a small paddling pool for the youngest children, a fire pit, and beautiful outdoor furniture for late summer evenings.
In the summer season, you can join the work with beekeeping and help us clean the chicken coop. You can also pick fresh chicken eggs and quail eggs. Stroll around the farm and pick the produce you find. Here, there are organically grown vegetables, fruits, berries, and herbs.
If you need activities for rainy days, you will find board games for all ages, puzzles, toys and Legos, and a good selection of books.
There is a Matias Orheim museum in the storehouse. Ask us for a tour to explore how people lived in the 1800s.
If you are looking for unique accommodation, you can stay in our sel (mountain cabin) in Orheimsbotnen. There is no running water or electricity, so a stay there takes you back to how people lived 200 years ago.
